Dynamic driving scenarios, such as regulatory test cycles and real-world driving profiles, are becoming an important simulation capability for vehicle thermal management. Simulating actual drive cycles enables analysts to understand the transient thermal behaviour of sensitive components which may not occur or may respond in a fundamentally different way in simplified steady profiles. The long duration and high-frequency changes found in these cycles can be challenging to simulate using high fidelity 3D models.
